Hello folks, as you may have heard, Giz has decided to part company with Bashphelt and move on. Tom, Rich and Baz have decided to keep on playing music together, but not under the guise of Bashphelt. Bashphelt was the sum of four specific people, and we don't feel that replacing Giz and keeping the name is an option.

Therefore, Bashphelt will be playing their last gig at The Railway, Barnoldswick, on Sunday 8th February @ 8pm

Thanks to everyone who's supported us, been to watch us, or told anyone else about us over the last nine years. Watch this space for any further developments from us, and Giz.

Bashphelt are preparing to play a showcase for 'Jar Music Group' @ the Roadhouse, Manchester, Sat 22nd November, 7.30pm. This will be good for the band as they will recieve feedback from industry types attending 1 week later. This is also for a stepping stone for London showcases with 'JMG'. The gig is also open to the public and you can buy tickets from the band for £6. The band are currently writing and practicing in preparation for 2009. They are not booking any gigs for the near future and are only booking more gigs from February 2009 onwards. Bashphelt's next gig is at The Railway, Barnoldswick, Sun 9th November, 8pm. Tom and Giz are also playing an acoustic gig @ Earby Sports and Social club, Sat 8th November, 8pm. We hope to see you at both for a dose of the Phelt!!

Bashphelt are playing at 'In The City' this weekend at the official fringe event. It has been organised by 'Designer magazine' and 'Vman events' across 6 different Manchester venues. It promises to be a spectacle and Bashphelt are playing at The Dry Bar, Sun 5th Oct, Oldham Street, 8.30pm.

Are you from Manchester and want tickets for £6? Feel free to Drop us an email and we will meet you with tickets anytime Saturday.

If you are from Pendle, then you can join the bus for £10! The bus will be setting off from Barnoldswick at 3.30pm and picking up in Colne on the way through. The £10 also includes entry to the venue.

Sat 27th Sept - Bashphelt are headlining the main stage at the Settle community festival, they are onstage @ 9pm. It's a free festival held in Settle town centre with allsorts going on throughout the weekend..

Bashphelt are filming for Propeller TV (SKY 195) @ Jabez Clegg, Manchester on Friday 12th September, 8pm. The band will be playing a half hour set and will then be doing an interview.

It was an excellent gig at a quality venue and we would like to thank everyone who came down to support us!.

The video also contains clips of the full band versions of two of our new songs - 'Silly boy' and 'Not for the first time' along with other tracks from the set.

Alrighty! Sorry there's been no news for a while. We've been busy sorting out some behind the scenes stuff which we will have more to report on soon.

This update is being done on the train as we travel down to London to play @ the Soho revue bar tonight. We're coming back up North tomorrow though as we have a gig in Manchester on Saturday and a gig in our hometown of Barnoldswick on Sunday (See the gigs on the right side of this page).

We want to say a big thanks to everyone who came to our gig in Coniston on Saturday 12th July. It was the first time we had played our three new songs live and we were really pleased with the response they got.

Tom and Giz played an intimate acoustic set @ Continentals cafe in Burnley, the people who attended were treated to acoustic versions of Bashphelt's 3 new songs 'Silly boy', 'Wrong impression' and 'Not for the first time'.

This was the first time the new songs have been played in public. For everyone who was unable to attend, click the image to be taken to the gig vault page for the gig where you can see clips of the new songs!

The Gig Vault has been updated with videos from Maloneys in Bolton on 15th June and also 'The Event' in Barnoldswick town square on 21st June.

A big thanks to everyone who braved the rain in Barnoldswick on Saturday and came along to support us and all of the local bands that played throught the day!
